Pipeline flame arrestors are safety devices used to prevent the spread of flames from flammable gases and liquids and to avoid backfire that could cause explosions. It is usually used in the following situations
(1)Pipelines for transporting flammable and combustible gases;
(2) Oil tanks for storing petroleum and petroleum products;
(3) Ventilation pipe openings of systems with explosion hazards;
(4) Oil and gas recovery system;
(5) Pipeline network for the combustion gas of the regenerative furnace;
(6) Exhaust system of internal combustion engines;
(7) Torch system
Maintenance and repair
1.The flame arrester should be inspected once every six months to check whether the core of the flame arrester layer is blocked, deformed, corroded, etc.
2. If the core of the fireproof layer is found to be blocked or clogged, it should be cleaned thoroughly to ensure that each hole on the core is unobstructed. Deformed or corroded fireproof layers should be replaced.
3.When reinstalling the core components of the fireproof layer, it is necessary to ensure that the joint surface is tight and there is no air leakage
